A facial plastic surgeon's photographic files are a potential storehouse of learning material. Manual review of before-and-after photographs is time consuming and self-limiting. Computers can facilitate the analysis, storage, and review of photographs and thereby serve as an aid to learning from the results of our surgery. This article describes a personal approach to automating this process. T...
متن کاملDigital Face Replacement in Photographs
In this paper, we describe a simple method for digitally replacing an individual’s face in a single photograph with that of another person. Our work focuses on the illumination aspect of face replacement, whereby the lighting conditions across a human face in an arbitrary image are extracted and then applied to a target replacement face. We also describe a method to seamlessly merge this newly ...
متن کاملHomomorphic Signatures for Digital Photographs
We describe two homomorphic signature schemes for digital photographs such that an intermediate party in possession of a signed photograph can construct a scaled, cropped, and lossily compressed version of the photograph along with a new, valid signature, without knowing the private signing key. In other words, our signature schemes are simultaneously homomorphic with respect to cropping, scali...
متن کاملAutomatic Rating and Selection of Digital Photographs
This paper presents methods for automatically rating and selecting digital photographs. The importance of each photograph is estimated by analyzing its content as well as its time-metadata. The presence of people is estimated by combining face and skin detection. Finally, the appeal of each photograph is calculated using a trained SVM classifier. The results of a conducted user study show that ...

Breast cancer conservative treatment (BCCT), due to its proven oncological safety, is considered, when feasible, the gold standard of breast cancer treatment. However, aesthetic results are heterogeneous and difficult to evaluate in a standardized way, due to the lack of reproducibility of the subjective methods usually applied. The objective assessment methods, considered in the past as being ...
